Seems that GoDesign is the only one who haven’t embraced the trend yet!

Even though I’ve been approached by many aluminium cabinet suppliers, I’m still sticking to the traditional wood cabinet.

You may be thinking, “Seriously? Why don’t you catch up with the times?” 

Call me old fashioned, but I still believe that wood cabinets offer greater value than aluminium cabinets.

Don’t Get Me Wrong: I’m Not Saying That Aluminium Cabinets Are Bad…

 

 

In terms of aesthetics, aluminium cabinets offer sleek, modern and contemporary designs that appeal to many.

They are also naturally resistant to rust and corrosion, making them ideal for environments with a high degree of moisture (such as the kitchen). 

With aluminium cabinets, there will not be damage from pests like insects and rodents. 

So despite all the good points, why am I not sold on aluminium cabinets? 

It’s simple. Wood cabinets offer all the above benefits and more. Much, much more!

 

5 Reasons Why I Prefer Wood Cabinets Over Aluminium Cabinets

 

  1. Value-For-Money – Wood cabinets are generally are a lot more cost effective. When I checked with my suppliers, wood cabinets are around half the price of aluminium ones (exact same dimensions). This means more savings for my customers.

  2. Aesthetics – Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I prefer the warm and rustic appeal of wood over the sleek and modern design of aluminium. Do you feel the same way too?

  3. Customization – Wood cabinets offer plenty of customization options to fit in with the look and feel of your home, no matter what style. Aluminium on the other hand, is pretty much fixed as it is with little or no customization possible.

  4. Weight – Aluminium cabinets are heavy, which unlike wood cabinets, make them difficult to shift. If you want to change the layout of your room, or shift to another home in future, wood cabinets are a lot easier to move around.

  5. Pest and Corrosion Resistant – Even though aluminium cabinets offer natural resistance to pest and corrosion, wood cabinets can also achieve the same effect with sealants and varnishes. All the wood cabinets we carry undergo protective measures to ensure longevity and robustness.
